is there a minimum age to travel to thailand alone?

curently liveing in the uk and me and my freinds are planning a holiday to phuket. However while one of them were on google they came across a blog about someone not being allowed in due to age. Is there a lower age limit for traveling from the uk - thailand alone or was this post a load of rubbish?
