I Have a seven year old niece and a six year old nephew who both have a nintendo DS. Their little brother who is one and a half always want to play with their games. Their grandma lets him play with a pocket poker game and she calls it his little DS and nobody else can touch it. IT makes him so happy but he reallly like the stylis (the little pen like thing attached) Are their any lookalike toys for younger children like him?

If the problem is the size of the DS, then i have a solution. Nintendo has announced a large DSi version for the elderly, it's a lot bigger then the normal DSi. You can also buy Vtech KidiDoodle, it is a drawing board with a stylis, and you can also play some 2 player games on it.

there are leapfrog gaming systems similar to nintendo ds' that have a stylis pen thing

As an avid gamer i can say that there is no toy or game system out there that is like a Nintendo DS. My advice is to check online for a beat up/used Nintendo DS for cheap and buy it for him, if he likes the stylus feature as much as you say he does he should be able to entertain himself for hours just messing with the pictochat function that comes with all Nintendo DS systems.
