We're putting up a scanner antenna and we need to solder 2 UHF connectors to 1/4" coax cable. We soldered the end that goes to the antenna, the other end will be soldered later after the cable comes through the wall.
Is there a way to test the antenna side connector, without having it connected to the antenna first? How can I find out if it was soldered properly or not? Can I do it without connecting both, the antenna and scanner? I hate to go all through getting it all set up, only to find out I need to take the whole antenna back down again, to re-solder it, especially if I don't know which of the 2 connectors may be the problem. Help??
