Is there a way to turn on caller ID for iPhone 4?

On my iPhone, when I get a call it says "unknown" unless they're on my contacts list and when I miss a call, (again it says unknown if not in contacts) it doesn't tell me the number. Is there a way to turn on caller ID so I know who is calling/has called?
