Is there an advantage to closing AC vents?

We have central air and heat. Would it be better to close the vents in the rooms not used?

I wouldn't close more than one. After that, you mess with the air pressure of your central unit, which can cause it to wear down erratically. Not something to play with in winter.

For sure,there is no need to heat a room you are not using.

yes theres no need heating or cooling rooms you dont use ,more for the ones you do use
