The full story: I downloaded an OS OS 5.0.0.130 I think via YouTube for a 8900. After the upgrade, my phone lost the BBM and the Blackberry App World ):. I searched the internet for a week on what might be causing this problem. Came upon an answer that it could be the fact that RIM isn't the one who provided the Upgrade. I downgraded to the 4.6 and the blackberry app was back and my BBM. I hate the 4.6 so I just went back to the OS 5.0.0.130 (hoping the blackberry app would be back) DID NOT WORK.
So now I ask, is there anyway I can get my hands on a OS 5 for a 8900 that doesn't take my BB App away?
By the way, I have tried to Update my OS via 'Wireless Update' and from my Desktop Software. For the Wireless Update, no updates could be found, and for the Desktop Software, the only OS that was found was the one I installed myself (OS 5.0.0.130). I also Security Wiped my Hand held, repeatedly downloaded the Blackberry App, and all times it asked if I should replace my previous one (which means my phone DOES have the App world, but no Icon) Also, I am under Tmobile.
