Is there any way around cancelling my rogers wireless account without having to

pay the $400 fee? So I hate rogers, have been with them for many years and have finally decided to cancel my plan. theyre telling me itll cost $400 to cancel. is there any way around this? that's freakin ridiculous. please help.

I had been with them for more than three years and I had only a one-year contract. After I canceled, they harassed me for several years to pay the cancellation fee. I refused to pay as I had not been told there would be a cancellation fee. They told me that most people were not aware of this charge. I have not paid it so, after many attempts to collect it, they have reported it and it has affected my credit rating.
