im just trying to think cause right after i fixed a brake light my car stopped working. i tried to crank it but the noise just sounds like the cars out of gas when it has gas. it was working fine a bit ago. i just dont understand is it possible i shook a wire lose or is there anything around the trunk of the car or by the driver seat that i accidently kicked or hit to cause it to stop working?

Also how much do fuel pumps cost from the junkyard for a 2000 ford focus. rough estimate please
the things i think it could be fuel pump, fuel injector.....thats all i got :P

help please :)

NEVER BUY FUEL PUMP FROM A JUNK YARD,YOU MAY BE BUYING BIGGER PROBLEMS...IF YOU KNOW A GOOD MECH GO TO HIM & GET CAR CHECKED DONT COST THAT MUCH TO CHECK...GET AN ESTIMATE FOR REPAIRS IF IT SOUNDS GOOD GO FOR IT..BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY...ON MY CAR I DO A LOT OF WORK MYSELF,BUT IF I FEEL ITS OVER MY HEAD I GO TO A MECH WITH GOOD REP..I LIKE MY CAR A LOT...I GOT IT NOW FOR 33yrs..SHE'S A CLASSIC 1977 OLDS CUTLASS SUPREME...NO JUNK YARD PARTS FOR HER,AT LEAST NOT THE IMPORTANT PARTS....GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR R0IDE...

Fuel pump approx £10 2nd hand?
What did you do to fix the brake light? Just fit a new bulb, or did you have to do any re-wiring? If just a bulb I cannot see that the two things have ANYTHING to do with each other. If there was any re-wiring, double check what you've done.
Take each plug lead off in turn and check there's a spark when you're cranking. Also check that fuel's getting to the injectors, AFTER checking by listening, that the pump is clicking away.
