IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT KNOWS HOW TO USE BITTORRENT?

I downloaded BitTorent 7.5 and the search keeps going straight to the internet search results...I know its supposed to do this...but what do I do from there???!?!?! Someone PLEASE tell me in ABSOLUTE DETAIL because I'm very stupid.

Just type here whatever you want to download then when you get the list look for those that have more peers.
