I just started putting a bit of information about transferring VHS tapes to DVD on a web page (below), but I have a lot more information to add to the page. Commercial VHS tapes cannot be copied to a DVD on a VHS / DVD combo unit due to copyright protection built into the tape and combo unit. If you own the commercial VHS tapes you can legally transfer the movies to DVD - but I haven't gotten that far yet with the web page. The next bit of information to go up will be how to deep clean the tape deck so no 'snow' is picked up and sent to the DVD. Check it out now if you're inclined, then check the web site for more information in a few days. Hope this helps.
