I do not recommend using a projector for gaming use. For one thing projector needs a dark room to have good picture, second the life span of the bulbs for projectors are only rated at 2,000 hours and third the cost of a projector for a good one doubles that of a 46" LCD tv. I use a Panasonic projector for my home movies and the cost of the projector is $3,499. Go online to Home Theater magazine and read the reviews on projectors.
