This dream mentions three people:
Aiden, my male best friend.
Alex, my crush to whom I recently declared my love.
I remember my awareness of the dream starting with me and Aiden in a maths lesson. It was a much longer room than the real thing. It must’ve been the end of the lesson, but this ‘scene’ lasted for quite a while. After the lesson, me and Aiden left the building. I can’t remember the walk to the school gates. All I know is that we waited at the very front of school, but it looked exactly like it did before any building work had begun, in the sense that there were a lot more trees and the front of school was there. There were lots of other Y10s there, mostly my friends but a few randomers too. No matter how hard I try, I cannot recall ever actually speaking to the other people. That’s when I saw Alex. Apparently his bus hadn’t turned up either, which is when I offered for everybody to get the bus that had just pulled up to my house, to which my dad agreed after a phone call to him.
The bus ride was horrible. The bus kept spinning out of control, and it eventually came to a weird building. Again, I can’t remember what the exterior of the building looked like. The bus was going up a ramp, and I managed to get out and say ‘these are steps leading to the Morrison’s car park!’
I got back onto the bus and beckoned to Alex who was sitting in the opposite column. ‘Why?’ he asked, but I grabbed his hand and we left the bus. We ran through an opposite door and realised we were very high up. I still had tight hold of Alex’s hand as we ran down many staircases until we were in a house. Here’s another part of the dream I can’t remember : escaping the house. Something that stuck out though was the porch, which seemed to go on forever. We’d opened at least five doors before we left the house, which was number 11, and that’s when it happened. I turned to Alex and said ‘kiss me.’
Then I really went for it. At first Alex seemed to turn away slightly, but then he went along with what I was doing. We stood there for about thirty seconds, in an embrace that could only happen in a dream.
I could feel myself regaining consciousness in bed, images of the dream flickering to my pillow and back, so I was becoming frantic.
‘Alex, do you love me?’
There was no reply.
The house’s white porch had a plated 11 on it, which makes 11 a significant number here.
Is 11 the number of Alex’s house too?
Was there a reason behind the dream being set before building works had begun at school, but with us in our current year?
And what became of those who had stayed on the bus?
Was Alex’s kiss back just a dream thing, or would he do that in real life if we actually found ourselves in that situation?
What is the chance of this dream being a shared one? There were an awful lot of people present, and I just hope Alex could’ve experienced something similar.
Why didn’t Alex say anything when I asked if he loved me?
Obviously the dream had been set up so Alex would play a key part. Maybe his presence and everything we did is a sign?
This is the most vivid dream I’ve ever had. It must mean something.
