"Your mamma so fat when she step on the Weight Scales it says...'to be continued'..."
Assuming that this person's mum is fat, would you say that it is satirical?
I think so; for something to be satirical it has:
1. to criticise a target
2. to use satirical techniques (hyperbole, irony, wit, sarcasm, etc..)
3. have some sort of humour
4. to have an ethical intent, motivation to influence change or to prevent it
5. to correct human faults
In this example I think:
1. The fat mother
2. hyperbole, exaggeration, wit
3. It does have humour
4. Influences the mother to lose weight
5. obesity
This is a serious question, and will help in my understanding of satire. Is this, or isn't this satire.
