Is two weeks and two days (excluding travel time) enough time to see Thailand?
Hey, my family is going to Thailand for two weeks this summer. Our plan is to... 1st fly into Bangkok. Stay there for about 5-6 days. Well, actually stay in chon buri with relatives for half the time. 2nd fly down south to the beaches. Stay in phuket for 1 or 2 nights, but stay in koh samui for maybe 4. 3rd go to kuala lampur, malaysia for a while and then singapore, which we will fly out of. My parents are very adventurous and my mom is from Thailand (but has not been there in 15 years) so I know we will see much more than just the touristy spots. My concern is that I will not have enough time to adapt to Thailand to enjoy it because I can speak only a little Thai and am illiterate in it; I have never been to an Asian country before. My questions are 1) should i take any steps to learn more Thai before going there? My mom says I will learn by being there and hearing things and asking her questions. 2) Is two weeks really enough time? 3) How does our plan sound? Any suggestions? I know the number of days don't add up yet. This is just how much time we want to spend AT LEAST.
