Is Virus possibilities for Iphone (Mac OS)?

Guys recently I've purchased Iphone.. So please let me confirm Whether by the usage of WI-FI does virus possibilities are there ? Or Iphone Mac Operating System is free from Virus..
If there are virus possibilities what steps do i need to follow ? Does it requires any sort of Anti Virus Protection ????
