Isn't it sad to watch your childhood sporting hero descend into decay and death?

We've seen it so much. Ageing heroes who start to lose their form. In my generation, that is Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Theirry Henry, Adriano. To witness French football descend into madness, and Brazilian styles move away from Joga Bonito truely saddens me.

Diego Maradonna is the prime example of the previous generation.
