Jail breaking an Itouch 4g ISO4.2?

I have an itouch 4g with ISO4.2. I have tried jailbreaking with multiple programs but they don't seem to work. Help please.

I jailbroke my 4.2. I hated it. I used Redsn0w, but don't use it unless your really set on it. You see, the problem with 4.2 is that you will have to use it as a "tethered connection". This means every time you power off your itouch and turn it back on, you have to turn it back on through redsn0w or it wont work. So I suggest Redsn0w only if you really really want to. Just remembered tethered is a pain in the butt. I suggest you also back up your itouch before attempting anything. Save all your apps and songs and videos.

Sorry but 4.2 is does not have an official jailbreak yet, so I would recommend downgrading to 4.1 then use limera1n to jailbreak the ipod.

Directions: plug ipod into computer and open up itunes.
go to your ipod on the left and hold down "shift" then look for the firmware and hit open.
then follow the instructions on the screen.
after it's done restoring open up limera1n and follow the steps.
