I know you have all probably seen this question plenty of times before, but I just want to make sure I understand all the risks involved before I consider jailbreaking my iPhone. First off, if something were to go horribly wrong while jailbreaking it, or something afterwards, does the restore option in iTunes fix all that, or is it limited in its powers(haha)?
I also have two other important questions:
1. Are there any other risks involved outside of me messing up the installation or installing a 'bad' program? I've read some people who are against jailbreaking and they act like something randomly horrible can happen to the phone.
2.Are there any other dangers with my jailbreaking my iPhone? Is this going to cause problems with the normal functions of my phone? Or is this basically just going to allow me to run third party apps?
For those of you that have installed custom firmware on a PlayStation Portable, is it comparable to doing that?
Thanks!
Also, could anyone link me to a website that has information on jailbreaking? Not just how to do it but what all happens and what not.
