I here about jailbreaking and i want it but if my itouch breaks wont it void my waranty?
Have you had problems with your jailbroken itouch?
Does it decrease battery life?
Can i unjailbreak?
What else can i do besides get free apps?

If your answer is yes i should then how?
I have the 3rd gen itouch (latest)
Whats a good jailbreak that wont decrease battery

Ok, so it definitely voids your warranty. Even if you unjailbreak it, apple can still see if you jailbroke it. Also it may have some minor lag issues but most likely not. I dont think it decreases the battery life but thats just what I think. You can definitely unjailbreak but it won't give you back your warranty. You get free apps, themes and some other benefits. Not really sure what else there is but I think it's generally better for free apps. Think about those really expensive games you want but don't really want to pay for. Anyways, if you're not handy with tech stuff, I would not recommend you do it yourself but get a friend or someone who is experienced to do it for you. If you want to do it yourself, use youtube tutorials and stuff. Good luck :)

I jail breaked mine pretty early and can't really comepare it to before. The one major thing that ticks me off is when the battery life is like at 20% Springboard tends to crash. Springboard loads themes for the ipod touch. like change the backround and buttons to stuff. It kind of explains itself for example, Theres a theme called "Vista Mobile" that completly changed the ipod layout into a windows vista computer desktop. even the music player is changed to Windows media player, and when you press the sleep button, It makes the sign out noise instead of the click. It's pretty cool and makes the ipod touch way funner. I used Spirit JB to jail break it but that was last summer and I'm not sure if it's compatible with the current update.

It won't void warranty as long as you restore it before giving it back. I have never personally had any problems. It doesn't decrease battery life as it is only a program. Yes, you can unjailbreak by restoring it. You can get themes and tweaks. Jailbreaking isn't risky at all, when I first had my iPod I was afraid I will lose it forever if I jailbreak, but 8 jailbroken iPods, 1 iPad, and 2 jailbroken iPhone later, I am confident it's safe as long as you don't screw up the steps (which are very easy).

Yes you should. If you fuck it up, you can just restore through itunes, so there's pretty much no way of it going wrong. And yes you can unjailbreak it. It does decrease battery life depending on how you jailbreak it, because when I was on a lower jailbroken firmware, my battery life was fine, now it sucks ass. And besides free apps, you can get emulators to play snes, gba, sega, etc. games, you can get unofficial apps, you can get a lot of stuff. Just youtube Blackrain ipod touch 3g and find a video with your corresponding firmware.

Yes, of course it is risky, and yes it will void your warranty, my best advice to you is to not do it, i have a 3 year warranty with geek squad, and i know for sure if i jailbreak my itouch, my warranty is void
