Japanese Hello Kitty-esque cartoon?

I remember as a child growing up in the 1990s, I had this VHS tape, and the characters were styled like Hello Kitty. There was a yellow tiger that wore overalls and a white rabbit that wore a dress. The VHS tape had educational/storylike material. Anybody remember?
