Jason Kidd is playing great basketball as a member of the New York Knicks. However, Kidd is going to be on the sidelines for at least a little while. The future Hall of Fame point guard is dealing with a back injury that has already sidelined him for one game.
Head coach Mike Woodson recently talked about Kidd’s importance to the team: “He’s a big part of what we do. He’s one of those veteran guys that can settle things down and help run the team if things are not going great and smoothly.”
On the season, Kidd is averaging 8.0 points, 3.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game. He’s shooting 51.8% from the floor and 50% on three-pointers. He has also knocked down all of his free throws.
The 39-year-old is proving that he’s not done quite yet.
