After signing a huge deal to join the Washington Nationals, Jayson Werth has been a gigantic bust. However on Thursday, the Nationals fans forgave Werth after the outfielder hit a walk-off homer to win a playoff game in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Going up against Lance Lynn, Werth took a 3-2 fastball over the wall. The hit began a wild celebration in Washington.
With the series now tied at 2-2, the Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals will play the deciding Game 5 on Friday. The two pitchers on the mound will be Adam Wainwright and Gio Gonzalez.
