Jeep Cherokee Heat Vent Issue?

So at times in my 2001 Jeep Cherokee the hot air/cold air decides to get "stuck". For instance - I would have the car running for 15 minutes... turn on the heat and only cold air will blow. If I play around with the vent settings (ie., floor only, dash vents only, etc.) I can eventually get hot air to come out. It can work the same way with the cold air as well.

Any thoughts?
