I preach open air on college campuses and I have always wondered how to overcome John 14:1 where Jesus says "believe in God, believe also in Me". Now the standard commentator would say that this is Jesus equating Himself as worthy of being an object of faith as is the Father...But still the Jehovah's Witness can bring up an intuitively strong argument that this only proves that Christ and the Father are two distinct persons and Jesus could have just as easily said "Believe in God, believe also in Moses, or Michael the archangel..."

What would be your quick rejoinder for this that I can give off the "stump"?

Thanks,
So far the 4 answers are of no value nor worthy of response; if one cannot give an exegetical answer that even sounds intelligent then hold your peace. I know the answer I am curious as to other answers: All right I'll spill the beans the answer is: Why would Jesus make this statement if it were interchangeable with Moses or believing in someone else? It would make no sense; in the context of John - Jesus constantly makes statements that show that He is worthy of worship, honor, obedience in the exact same level as the Father. Christ claimed to be full deity.

For the guy who says I shouldn't be preaching if I don't know every single answer in the universe - just goes to show how little he or she does for the sake of Christ. I have expert level skills in logic, epistemology, and theology and have been fishing for other answers of which I have found none except a few ignorant fools.
