I have a 1995 Saturn SL with a manual transmission and a clutch neutral safety switch that is not working. I have jumped the switch by unplugging the connector from the safety switch and then placing a "jumper" wire in the connector to close the circuit. My question is can I leave the jumper wire in there constantly and just bypass the safety switch or will this burn something up in the electrical system?

Thanks, Jlohne

just get a new switch, it can't be that expensive and they are one of the best inventions. you might go in for an oil change and one of the guys could run someone over.

if you jump it with the same size wire or thicker there will be no problem go thinner and there might be ..good luck
