Per your profile, you live in SC and have put the link to the SC DMV.

To get your driving license or renew, you MUST provide proof of insurance. To register your auto, the same applies. To legally drive your auto, you MUST have proof of insurance.

SC has some very strong laws out there. You could lose your license and registration if you fail to do the above.

It appears you can get a 45 day temporary tag for this new car.

But, you need to insure this car ASAP. Until you insure it, do NOT drive.

good luck

no , you can usually drive on a temporary tag for 30 days, you must have insurance to even drive on the road

No, you can't drive a vehicle without tags. It's not registered for the road. And not having insurance on a vehicle you're driving is also illegal.

Depends on what state you live in. In California you can drive with a temporary registration until you get the permanent one. But insurance you have to get immediately.
