Just bought a t-mobile prepaid phone?

I cant figure out how to set up my voice mail. I go to the voice mail and when it asks for my 10 digit number, I putin my hone number and it says it is invalid. How do I fix this?
It is activated. And I do have a number.

It shouldn't be asking for it at all, it should already know. Call TMO it may not be set up correctly.
