Just got original s8 trucks, when they bend they wont go back to flat, help?

I just got original s8 trucks from amazon.. I thought i bought them new but they came looking a little roughed up.. Im new to this longboarding stuff so I dont know if theres something i gotta do but when I bend them to the left or right they stay there instead of springing back.. did I just get gypped or is there something I gotta do?
