basically i'm writng a novel. In my prologue i explained about this race of people who have special powers and another group of people who hunt the people with special powers. So just how do i start my c hapter one. Is it okay to start with hi my name is janica. I have special powers .... (you know elborate on the prologue a bit more) Any ideas how i should start ?
 
You say you're writing a novel. on the other hand you don't know how to write it. i suggest you start with a short story,as you don't sound very experienced.
 
I'd honestly suggest you try something much shorter than a novel and get in some writing practice. No, it's not a good idea for either your prologue _or_ your first chapter to be an infodump.
 
You can have them begin like a "normal" people and reveal the special powers as special plot twists.
What is the point in writing a fun novel by making it all predictable.
