...Can I fly to Juarez, MX with birth cert I mailed my renewal application along with my current passport on March 17,2008. I found out today that my job is flying me to Juarez on March 30 for a few days. I don't think I will get my new passport back in time. Are there alternative documents that I can take with me as a substitute?

Just call up the nearest Passport Agency near you and tell them that you need to have your passport by this and that time. It may cost an extra fee to do this but in this case, I think they can waive it due to its business related.

You may have to go to this place in person. It be best to call either today in the midwest and the west coast or tomorrow on the east coast as the offices on the east coast are now closed.

No other documents will be accepted by the TSA.

I got mine back in 10 days when I only paid for the 4-6 weeks.

I dont think this will help you, but i sent my passport app. in on feb. 3 and got it back on feb 12, its not worth taking the risk of chancing it, and i dont feel like saying the exact same thing that everyone else said above me so just ignore mine i guese, but the others are right, they know what they are talking about.

No...the passport is absolutely required to fly anywhere internationally. You will not be allowed on the plane. Fortunately, you just need to go to Juarez...so you could fly to El Paso and take a taxi to your destination n Juarez. You will need a photo I.D. and your birth certificate to travel to Mexico by land. See site below for the current passport requirements. Once you havesubmitted your passport, you cannot expedite it.
