Kettle Bell and Weights > Gym Membership?

A little info about me. 5'10. 170 pounds. 15 percent body-fat. I don't have time to go to the gym. I'm thinking of buying a (35 lb) kettle bell. With weights at home, plus a kettle bell. Will this be sufficient enough for me to achieve a good physique? I am a novice weight lifter. Also, how long is a typical kettle bell session... is a kettle bell a good alternative to cardio / running?! Thanks in advance!
