Keypad volume on Blackberry 8100.?

How can I turn the sound off on the keypad- I have the setting in display/keyboard turned to off, but when I pick up the phone and dial a number to call, it still makes noise when I hit the number keys. I've been trying to figure this out now for 30 min straight. I'm usually pretty good at this kind of thing, but this phone is throwing me for a loop.
