Amelia Abbot from Nelson's Hampden Street School was announced as the winner of the inaugural New Zealand Doodle 4 Google competition in November 2009. The competition, held in association with The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, asked students to create a Google ‘doodle', based on the Google logo, to share their vision of New Zealand.
