...and Carmelo Anthony? This would make LA younger and more athletic. No one would be able to guard them. As for NY, it's not much of an advantage on paper, but the Knicks are struggling and maybe need a shot in the arm, plus Kobe also sells out the Garden, so there is an economic advantage.
 
LOL! Carmelo was not even a serious superstar caliber,always disappear when late in the game.
Would only consider Amare..

No. You never want to give up the best player in the deal (Gasol). But I'd do Kobe for Melo straight up. It's time to face facts: Kobe will be coming off the bench or playing in Europe in a few years. He's on the decline and it is starting to get ugly.
