After the acquisition of Steve Nash, many NBA pundits said the Los Angeles Lakers were good but they lacked a bench. Since then, the Lakers have been looking to fill those bench spots. One of their biggest signings to date has been Antawn Jamison. L.A. was able to land Jamison with a minimum contract.

Said Jamison: “To be a part of a great organization, great teammates, great coaching staff, it’s definitely a great day for me and hopefully for the Lakers as well.”

Last season, Jamison averaged 17.2 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite the impressive stats, his efficiency wasn’t very good — shooting only 40.3% from the field, 34.1% on three-pointers and 68.3% at the line. Plus, Jamison is 36 years old, so he doesn’t exactly help the Lakers get younger.

That said, the Lakers just got a whole lot better. Jamison is a legit contributor who will be a headache for opposing teams.
