Hi there

I live in the UK and wanted to ask anyone also living in the UK if there is a land line phone available in the UK which I can buy that can be set not to ring at certain times. I need a phone which in effect can be disabled from say 11:30pm to 8am.

I am currently pulling the connector out of the phone line socket but sometimes forget to put the connector back in the following morning !

There may be one of those timer devices which are used for house hold electrical items which maybe designed for land line phones too.

Does anyone know or can help ?

Thanks

To be honest I've never heard of that! But what I would suggest is buying a cordless telephone and a timer socket. If there's no power going to the cordless base unit, it wont be able to send the signal to the handset.. but it will ring when the power comes back on.

At least that way you can control the times when the power goes to the cordless base. If you do decide to get a timer socket, I'd recommend you buy an electronic one. The manual (cheaper) ones sometimes make a slight grinding noise.
