I have a SONY Vaio Laptop (VGN-N365E). It requires a 19.5 volt AC adapter for power. My problem is that I live on a boat with a 12 volt DC power system (2 Group 27 Wet Cell Batteries charged by a Wind Generator, 2 Solar Panels and an engine driven alternator). I have had to use a small 400 watt modified sine wave invertor to run my laptop but doing it this way drains precious amp hours out of my batteries when we are at anchor and there is no wind or sun. It seems kind of silly to convert DC power from my batteries to AC power via the invertor to just go back to DC power via the AC adapter. Is there a better way to do this for my model laptop?
