Larger tanks for my bettas?

So when I was walking through Walmart a few weeks ago, I noticed that for some reason they think they are entitled to carry live fish. When I got back there I found betta fish practically rotting alive in their little bowls. I felt so bad that I took the two who looked like they might make it through the night home with me. I already had one betta at home, but over the next week or two I bought six more fish. Two died pretty quickly, but the other five are doing just fine, and I'm glad.

The problem is, I bought them the small containers with the dividers between them (not see-through, of course. So far none of them have noticed each other). The two girls are really happy and responsive, but the guys are a little morose. I'm sure they're doing better in these little tanks than they would be at Walmart, but I still feel bad for keeping them cooped up like that. I know they'll survive with very little space, but I'd love to get them all bigger containers (at least 1 gallon each, though ideally 2.5) but I'm low on space. Does anyone have suggestions for space-saving tanks, or do you know of any larger 2-betta tanks with dividers? There are five fish total now, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
