Correct?
NOTE: The LDS church teaches...
"Every person who was ever born on earth was our spirit brother or sister in heaven. The first spirit born to our heavenly parents was Jesus Christ…so he is literally our elder brother…Because we are the spiritual children of our heavenly parents, we have inherited the potential to develop their divine qualities.”—Gospel Principles, 1995, p 11
Because Mormonism teaches that God was quite literally the father of Jesus Christ, not only in the spiritual realm but in the physical realm as well, it proclaims that Jesus was not begotten in the flesh by the Holy Ghost, but by the exalted man Heavenly Father.
“When the Virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the Father had begotten him in his own likeness. He was not begotten by the Holy Ghost.”—Brigham Young, 1852, Journal of Discourses, vol. 1, p. 50
“Christ Not Begotten of Holy Ghost.…he was not born without the aid of Man, and that Man was God!”—Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p. 18
(Just noting)
AND....
The LDS church does believe in A spiritual, heavenly mother that is (sealed or married, together forever etc) to God and that they are OUR spiritual parents, correct?
SO Mary, was the spiritual offspring of Elohim, (God) and the BELIEF is that he (God) was the heavenly father and she (Mary) was the Earthly mother to Jesus.
* Mary according to Mormonism and the LDS church and LDS.ORG
"a virgin chosen by God the Father to be the mother of His Son in the flesh."
My question...
*But would not MARY be his and heavenly mothers, own spiritual offspring?
Like his earthly daughter also, correct?
Please explain this reasoning to me? How does the LDS church see this? Thank you.
Emma, I was asking in laymen's terms the temple endowment LDS "beliefs" are another topic.
