one' before being sexual? I havent ever done anything, and i mean anything sexual with anyone before, but my reason is because i want to wait until im with 'the one'/that special girl in my life, because sex is a big deal to me.

And this question is asked to straight people alot, so was just wondering what lesbians opinions were on the topic. I know gay marriage doesnt exist in some places, and in the UK we have civil partnership, but if you have neither, would you wait until you were with that special someone before having sex?

This question has NOTHING to do with religion, its just based on a persons personal feelings ont the idea. I guess this question can be aimed at total virgins and gay virgins, or whether people waited for 'the one'/marriage etc in the past and want to share that they have.

No nasty judgemental comments please, i just wanted to know if any lesbians (or gay guys) considered this.

I didn't wait cause I knew we were gonna get married so if I'm gonna do it later we might as well do it now. We waited seven months to do anything. Gay marriage isn't aloud where we live but a civil union still has a lot of sentimental value like a wedding. But we still didn't wait. My view is if you are truely in love go ahead. Just don't rush anything and make sure u deeply care about ur partner

Hi there,

I haven't done anything with anyone as well. I have thought about waiting, but I have two reasons not to:
1) How would you know if you have chemistry in the bedroom? What if it is one big disappointment?
2) The chances of finding someone special are already slim. How am I ever going to find someone who wants to wait as well?
