Letter from Comcast about Bittorrent?

Okay, so I like to download anime. That's really it. I want music? I go to youtube or buy a CD, I watch movies on my TV, etc. But I like to download anime so I can use it to make AMVs, and that's generally it. 98% of what I download is of series I've bought, but can't burn to my computer to use it. --I just wanted to get that out of the way, I don't want to hear about "dont download, blah blah" because I know, but as I see it, I do buy these things in the first place if they're avaliable, so they already have my money anyway.

My question is that comcast sent us an email today saying that they saw our IP address was downloading illegally and they named one of the torrents I used some time ago. Just a warning, nothing legal yet (and as it was from comcast and not some law enforcemt agency, I'm not overly concerned) but it's still not ideal.
But what can I do about this? Is there any way to protect my security? Or can deleting the torrent file when I'm done help? I saw on some forums that the chances of being taken to court are low, but now I'm afraid I'm on some watch list or something and although I was in the middle of downloading a torrent I dont want to open it just to be safe. Anyway, please let me know if anyone has any tips or has been through this before. Thank you!

So, does anyone have any tips, or has gotten the same type of letter and has anything happened? Or does someone maybe
