My fiancée has an '03 Lexus ES300 with a little over 60K miles on it. The manual says that the timing belt should be replaced at 90K miles or 72 months (6 years). The car is obviously over 6 years old but is pretty far off it's mileage still.
The car was given to her by her grandmother who had all of her scheduled maintenance done by the dealership she bought the car new from and they didn't change the belt at 6 years.
Are there any lexus or toyota mechanics out there that can give me advice on when I should actually change this thing?
