Lexus' sunroof won't close after been left open during rain?

1998 Lexus , LX 470. When I push the button it closes about 75% and goes right back to open position. The sun shade, on the other hand, does closes all the way but opens only 75%( I can't push it all the way in). Can it be fixed (or at least permanently shut) without mechanical? Do I really have to take it to Lexus shop or same other places can help?
