LG Rumor 2 won't turn on. HALP!?

I have an LG Rumor 2 and it won't turn on. I took the battery out and put it back in and nothing happened. There's a red/green light on in the top right corner [where the status light usually is] and when I press the power button, it gets a little brighter, but the phone itself still doesn't turn on. The battery seems to be fine. I plug it in and it charges with no problems. I just can't get my phone on and I REALLY don't want to go shell out another $300 on a new phone if I can fix this on my own.
Sooo if anyone could help, that'd be great.
If I'm screwed, ugh. :(
