I bought the Rumor Touch a couple of weeks ago from Virgin Mobile, and ever since I couldn't get it to vibrate. I have it set to "Vibrate only", I tried to set up up using the volume control on the side, I tried going through settings, and nothing has worked. I never know when I get a text or anything, it's seems to be in a permanent silent mode. I know for a fact the hardware that makes it vibrate works. What can I do?

i had the same problem with mine but then i figured it out eventually after trying almost everything....if u want to get your phone to vibrate for calls and texts you go to: (settings > ringers > messages > other ringers)...even though u want vibration when u get a text you still have to choose one of the sound ringers so choose whichever one it wont matter because after choosing a sound ring tone you go to your home screen and then press the side buttons which adjust the volume and put it on "vibrate only"...now it will vibrate when u get a call or text...you can change how u want it to vibrate by going back on (settings--vibration--messages) and then choose how you want it to vibrate for texts....hope it works!

This turns the phone ringer off too. I just wanted the alarm ringer off. So I recorded a memo by tapping the phone 1x and then recording 30 sec of silence and set the ringer to that memo. Now I get a small click and the vibrate which is unobtrusive. This phone has many more software anomolies that it's predisessor, the Rumor, didn't.
