LG vx 8600 TELUS HELP?

I need help trying to add music on to my phone, but its telus nd all the other ones are for vergin. i have an sd card,micro sd card and a flash stick...

Here are some instructions to add music to your LG VX 8600:

1. Insert the Micro Sd card into your phone and format it.
2. Remove the card from the phone and insert into your computer.
3. make a folder on the Micro SD card titled my_music and drag and drop music into that folder
4. Enjoy the Tunes

How did you format the SD in your phone? I've been looking and looking and can't find anything on the menu.
