my computer is having problems connecting internet wirelessly. It has a very strong signal but there is no internet! All the computers are fine! It sends packets but it is not receiving any at all and I think it that the local area connection being unplugged might be the problem. Right? Help me with this.

Also, how do I connect it to the internet?
No, Its in my network... I entered the WEP Key and everything.

sounds like there is a WEP (wireless password) to connect to your router. You'll need to access the router to get that. Connect a computer directly to the router using an Ethernet Cable and open internet explorer or any browser and type in the routers IP address, usually located on the bottom of the router (i.e. 192.168.2.1).

Then under the wireless network security settings, you should see something like "Security Mode" and either 64bit/128bit WEP or WPA/WPA2.

Then there will be random numbers and letters, this is the password your computer needs to connect to the network and use the internet.

Hope this helps any, and goodluck!

there are a few things you can do. First and most important, check your router or modem, are the lights a solid green? If blinking then you may be having an outage in your area. Go ahead and unplug the equipment, then wait about 30 seconds then plug it back in, log out of your computer at this time, then log back in once the equipment is rebooted and the light is solid green. If still not access, go to your internet connections and disable your connection, then enable it. Sometimes it acts up and just needs to be reset. Hope this helps.
