Having to learn to deal with RV house batteries and their care. Where in the heck are the vents that allow the gas to escape? Anyone know of a site that has a picture/photo explaining parts of a battery and where they are located?
Ah! The 'caps' or the 'bars'. Hmmm can't see much ability for gas to vent when they are so tightly in place. My Interstates have plug-in 3-cap bars.
But obviously they must work at venting. Thankfully I've seen no battery compartment corrosion nor any on the batteries.

The vents are the rectangular parts on the top of the battery, one on each side of the top surface. Most of them are non-removable, but some still come off. Bets to go by a battery sales point for further explanation as necessary.
