my psychology class is talking about sleep and disorders. we were talking about sleep apnea and how people who suffer from it can stop breathing in there sleep for up to 15 sec about 200-400 times a night. I mentioned that during the day i find myself not breathing for little amounts through out the day, like when im focusing on something our watching tv or even driving. many of my classmates agreed that they find them selves doing the same thing through out their day. my question and what im looking for is can the same problems that arise from sleep apena (heart and lung problems) occur to people who just are to focused on what there doing and don't breath for a few seconds many times a day, and is there a case study or something like that out there that talks about this.
