so i went out to dinner and lost my phone. I had "find my iphone" enabled. I found the location its not too far from my house maybe like 3 miles away. I called it several times and the guy who has it doesnt want to pick up. hes ignoring my messages. so i locked it. the problem is the guy lives in an apartment and the app "find my iphone" is not going to show me which apt # its in just the building. i called the cops and they told me they could arrest the guy by confronting the person and seeing if they were to lie about having the phone but since its an apartment they cannot go door to door.

my question is if the battery on the phone dies will it still show on find my iphone? and
can the guy restore the phone so he can get pass the lockscreen? and if so will the restore make find my iphone not work since its someones else account now?
